Minutes

Jamie Stroud, Stu Suchit, Rocky Bracero, Stephen Gardner, Bri Hermanson,
Ed Murr, Ginidir Marshall and Melanie Reim

This time our meeting was held at Triple Crown where many a pint of lager disappeared. Stephan showed us his sketchbook he will be self-publishing and we talked about Eloise's good fortune with Martha Stewart.

Our first order of business was the scheduling of meetings. Because of the poor turnout for the model session and a so-so one last night, Jamie suggested we meet less frequently. Most of the other members wanted to keep it at four times a year with our next one in the fall. The overall feeling was that with such a new society it is often difficult to have a large attendance and we should not be discouraged. A poll or survey will be created by Jamie and emailed out to current (and possibly future) members in order to get some feedback on what is and is not working.

Next order of business was following up of promotions and charity work.
Bri had no luck in getting a printer to 'co-sponsor' cards. She was able to find out that cards will costs approximately $1 each to do ourselves if we still want to go ahead.
Stephen arranged drawing at a senior home for charity on the Upper East Side. We need to let him know when and who can attend and he will take care of the rest. Stu was able to do something similar on Long Island. Stephan and Stu will post notices on our blog for members to sign up.

Our next meeting will mostly likely be in September and we might try to combine it with a model session. I hope many of you will attend. Have a great summer.
